4 Businesses That Found Success with Digital Signage
From health care to car dealerships, digital signage has a use case in almost every industry.
The variety of applications for digital signage is expansive. Here are a few examples:
- St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, Calif., has integrated its patient management system with digital signs installed at key locations in its operating facility, providing highly visible real-time information for staff about the status of each patient.
- Camelback Toyota, a dealership in Phoenix, Ariz., has installed a theater-sized digital projection screen and 45 HD monitors to display seven different content streams for customers, including model features, accessory options, dealer-specific information, classic car lore and general entertainment.
- East Coast Jewelry in Boca Raton, Fla., opened its microsite for the public to post messages on during Mother’s Day week 2010; the messages were then displayed on the store’s 14-by-48-foot digital billboard next to Interstate 95.
- Destination Shuttle Service in Los Angeles has deployed a digital-signage system in 32 buses and at 13 hotels that display information about hotels and the airport, as well as advertisements and information about businesses and sights along the route that are tied to geo-location technology.
