Review: HP EliteBook 865 G11 Helps Small Businesses Compete Without Adding Complexity

The first thing that stands out about the device is its balance. When business laptops excel in one area, they often must compromise in others; for example, some emphasize portability at the expense of performance. The EliteBook 865 G11 manages to avoid those trade-offs. 

During my hands-on testing, the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840HS processor consistently delivered responsive performance across a wide range of business workloads. I routinely ran dozens of browser tabs alongside Microsoft 365 applications, videoconferencing sessions and cloud-based business tools without experiencing any noticeable slowdowns. Multitasking remained smooth throughout the evaluation period.

The 16-inch WUXGA touch screen proved to be one of the system’s strongest assets. The large display provided significantly more workspace than a traditional 14-inch notebook but was portable enough for daily travel. Spreadsheets, dashboards and side-by-side documents were easier to manage thanks to the additional screen real estate.

The device’s enhanced audio and camera technologies will improve meeting experiences; during testing, voice quality remained clear and natural, while the webcam produced professional image quality for meetings with customers and internal collaboration sessions.

Battery life was equally impressive. The notebook comfortably lasted through a full business day of mixed productivity tasks, moving between conference rooms, offices and remote work locations without the need for a power outlet.

Cybersecurity threats continue to grow more sophisticated, but most organizations do not have the time or resources to constantly monitor every endpoint.
