Cisco Live 2026: Cisco Cloud Control Is Poised To Integrate Agents Into Your Workforce
As in most years, Cisco Live 2026 was packed with new product announcements and enhancements of Cisco’s premiere offerings. This year, much of the focus was on Cisco Cloud Control, which was described by DJ Sampath, senior vice president and general manager of AI software and platform at Cisco as “the secure harness for the agentic era.”
As agentic AI becomes a critical part of enterprise operations, Cisco has anticipated the need to observe and secure agents, creating what Sampath called a unified operations platform “that brings every Cisco domain — networking, security, AI infrastructure, observability and collaboration — and your third-party tools into one environment, with one login, one view and one operating model for every team and every agent working across your estate.”
Some of Cisco’s customers have already been leveraging the power of Cloud Control. Room & Board’s Mark Rodrigue, senior network engineer, spoke with BizTech in Las Vegas to share the benefits his organization is already seeing.

Video Highlights
- Cisco introduced Cisco Cloud Control as “a unifying management experience that brings different domains together into a single place” to reduce friction and create more seamless workflows.
- DJ Sampath pushed back on the idea that guardrails for AI agents might inhibit innovation, saying, “Security is enabling people to adopt AI faster, because when they know that they can trust the agents to execute in the right fashion, all of a sudden, your adoption and usage starts to shoot through the roof.”
- One of the most valuable qualities of Cloud Control is how customizable it is, allowing Cisco customers to adapt it to their own workflows to derive even greater observability and efficiency.
