Financial Service Organizations Make Strides in Cloud Adoption

61% of financial services organizations have already shifted at least half of their applications to the public cloud, according to a recent CDW cloud computing report.

The financial services industry’s reputation for being laggards when it comes to cloud adoption is seriously outdated. Indeed, the industry is the leader in migrating applications to public cloud among all private sector segments recently surveyed by CDW.

The cloud “lowers the threshold for the use of new technologies, facilitating better use by employees,” stated one financial services respondent to the 2024 CDW Cloud Computing Research Report, a survey of more than 900 IT professionals in business, government, healthcare and education that was published in September. Added another: “We can better keep pace with the development of the times, which is very beneficial for the company.”
