Windows 8 Rises as XP Usage Drops

It looks like Microsoft's End of Life campaign for Windows XP is officially sending them packing. Computerworld reports that adoption of Windows 8 is increasing as organizations and users ditch Windows XP. This is a welcome surprise since previous studies found most users and companies were switching from XP to Windows 7, not Windows 8.
