Face-Recognition Tech Pioneer Worries About Privacy

The digital age has been consistently chipping away at our collective sense of privacy and you can add Joseph J. Atick, a scientist who helped pioneer face-recognition technology in the '90s, to that list of concerned observers. In an article from The New York Times, Atick says, “I think that the industry has to own up. If we do not step up to the plate and accept responsibility, there could be unexpected apps and consequences.”
