NRF 2026: Retailers Are Leveraging Tech to Elevate the Shopping Experience

As agentic artificial intelligence continues to assert its presence and usefulness in the retail space, tech providers are embracing it alongside other innovative forms of technology. At NRF 2026: Retail’s Big Show in New York City, representatives from Amazon Web Services, Ingenico, Verizon and Zebra Technologies discussed how their offerings are helping retailers meet the expectations of their customers and drive growth.

Radio frequency identification tagging and computer vision are two forms of technology exhibitors shared at NRF to demonstrate their ability to ease the pain points retail shoppers frequently experience. Together, they’re working to streamline the checkout process and enable shoppers to make use of their time in stores more efficiently.
