Intel Wants to Make $50 Smartphones a Reality

In the quest to expand the mobile revolution to everyone, Intel is aggressively trying to bring down the costs associated with creating smartphones. CNET reports that Intel has created a "super-cheap" smartphone chip called SoFIA that could see smartphones retail for as little as $50.
