Cisco Live! 2025: AI Is Driving a Resurgence of Data Centers

At this year's Cisco Live! in San Diego, Jeetu Patel, president and chief product officer at Cisco, led an opening keynote that included a discussion of AI-ready data centers. While on-premises data centers may have fallen out of vogue in recent years, the sudden emergence of AI has resulted in an explosive increase in the volume of data that organizations are handling. For many, the option of returning on-premises is an attractive one. But it does have its costs, including expensive energy consumption. Patrick Quirk of Opengear and Panduit's Mason Kahn and Mahmoud Ibrahim shared their companies' offerings to help address electric power concerns in the data center.
