The 10 Most Popular BizTech Stories of 2015

Here’s a look back at the stories our readers were most interested in this year.

For the business-technology market, 2015 was a year of transitions and migrations. One of the most significant was Microsoft’s rollout of Windows 10. The transition to the new platform began last summer, and the number of installs had reached 110 million as of early October.

There were other migrations as well. U.S. businesses, as of Oct. 1, were required to switch to point-of-sale terminals with hardware and software that complies with the Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) chip-based standard. Many businesses also upgraded their wireless networks to the faster and more advanced 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, which will iteratively improve in the years ahead through updates for enterprises.
